Formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone rising 600 metres from the seabed, Sipadan is universally acclaimed as one of the world's finest scuba diving destinations. Divers encounter swirling tornadoes of chevron barracudas, massive schools of bumphead parrotfish, reef sharks, and dozens of green turtles on every dive at Barracuda Point and the Turtle Tomb.
How to Get There
Fly to Tawau Airport (TWU), transfer 1 hour by car to Semporna Jetty, followed by a 45-minute speedboat ride to Mabul/Kapalai resort bases.
