Kek Lok Si (Temple of Supreme Bliss) sits on the slopes of Air Itam facing the sea. Spanning multiple terraced levels, its masterpiece is the 7-storey Pagoda of Rama VI combining a Chinese octagonal base, Thai middle tier, and Burmese crown. An inclined lift carries visitors up to the towering 30.2-metre bronze statue of Guanyin.
How to Get There
Take Rapid Penang Bus 203 or 204 from Komtar to Air Itam village, then walk 5 minutes up the temple market lane.
